Board of Elections & Registration

The Camden County Board of Elections & Registration is comprised of five members, one from each district, appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Board has the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the elections superintendent of Camden County; the municipal election superintendent of the City of Kingsland, the City of St. Marys, and the City of Woodbine; and the Board of Registrars of Camden County, which is provided for under Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the O.C.G.A., the “Georgia Election Code.” 

The Camden County Board of Elections and Registration was created by the Georgia General Assembly through HB 1023 (PDF) and signed by Governor Nathan Deal on May 8, 2018. The Board of Elections & Registration began work on January 1, 2019.

Bylaws

The Board of Elections & Registration Bylaws (PDF) were amended on September 23, 2021. 

The second amendment of the Board of Elections & Registration Bylaws (PDF) were approved on February 16, 2023.
