Colonel Richard Frizzell was born in New York and attended Niagara County Community College where he received his Associates of Arts in 1965, he then went to receive his Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Studies from State University College in Buffalo, New York in 1967. He received his Master’s Certificate, Secondary Education in 1970 and Received his Master’s Degree in International Relations in 1997 from Troy State University of Alabama.

Colonel Frizzell served in the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1958 to 1993. He later worked on the Charlton County Board of Education in Folkston, GA as the Director/Instructor of Alternative School from 1995 – 1998. Colonel Frizzell worked for the Camden County Board of Education from 1997 – 2007 as a Middle School Teacher and is currently working for College of Coastal Georgia as a Professor of Political Sciences and International Relations, American Government and Georgia State Government.

Colonel Frizzell was appointed to the Board of Assessors in March of 2009. Colonel Frizzell was awarded with the Adjunct Professor of the Year at Coastal Georgia Community College, 2005 – 2006, received the Niagara County Community College Alumni Award for Educational Excellence, the United States Army Logistics Program of Excellence Award and other various Military Awards.

Colonel Frizzell lives in Saint Marys with his wife Allison. He has five adult children, thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
