Any pools (public or semi-public) licensed by the Department of Public Health including, but not limited to those belonging to homeowner associations, apartment complexes, and hotels, shall be temporarily closed as part of the previously announced closure of all entertainment and recreation facilities. Due to public health concerns with COVID-19 community spread through in-person gatherings, this action is determined to be necessary for the protection of Camden County residents.
This is part of the temporary closure of all entertainment and recreation facilities, barber shops, beauty salons, nail salons, tattoo parlors, gyms, dance studios, and spas.
Chiropractic clinics, while previously listed for closure, may be open for critical patient services that provide urgent care on a limited basis during this public health emergency.
Camden County businesses, establishments, non-profit corporations, faith based, or other non-government organizations shall continue to limit public gatherings to ten (10) persons or less at any location. Where ten (10) or less are gathered six (6) feet of separation will be maintained. The ten (10) or less requirement does not include operational staff (employees) for the business.
All critical infrastructure including banks and financial intuitions, licensed professional services, grocery stores, government services, providers of food, water, fuel, medical care, and pharmacies are exempt, and will continue to provide essential services and goods to the public. Where such services are being provided, businesses will ensure Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines are being followed.
All actions as outlined above continue to remain in effect until April 6, 2020, at 12:00 noon unless terminated earlier in conjunction with the termination of Governor Kemp’s state of emergency.
The above actions are subject to enforcement as deemed necessary under county ordinance. Failure to comply with these directives could result in code enforcement or law enforcement actions requiring Magistrate or Municipal Court resolution.
As of 12:00 p.m. on March 26, 2020, Georgia has 1,525 confirmed cases and 24 in the Coastal Georgia Health District, including two (2) in Camden County. Because testing has been limited, there may not be an accurate picture of the current level of infection in our community. At this time, Camden County continues to maintain a voluntary curfew from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. nightly.
Additional actions may become necessary as this public health emergency continues to impact our community.

Additionally, the measures listed above do not affect operations at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
