The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that Roger Nestor, former Chief of Staff for York City (Pennsylvania) Police, has been hired as the Range Master for Two Rivers Gun Range. In this role, Mr. Nestor will be responsible for duties to include, but are not limited to: planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the Two Rivers Gun Range.
Mr. Nestor has over 23 years of experience in law enforcement including extensive firearms training and instructing. Additionally, he has experience instructing French Gendarmerie in Rochefort, France and informal work with German Polizei during a law enforcement exchange as well as organizing citizen police academies.
“We are excited to welcome Roger to Camden County and look forward to his leadership at our new range,” said Deputy County Administrator Shawn Boatright. “The community is excited about Two Rivers Gun Range opening and we have a talented leader in place to make this a great community asset.”
Mr. Nestor has completed Penn State University’s Police Executive Development Program in addition to Law Enforcement Instructor Development and Police Supervisory Training. He began his new role on May 12, 2021.
Two Rivers Gun Range is completing construction and hiring staff. Interested applicants may apply online at www.camdencountyga.gov/jobs. Located approximately one mile north of the intersection of Hwy 40 on Hwy 110 in extreme southwestern Camden County, the range will open in summer 2021.
