Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is carefully monitoring for impacts of Tropical Storm Nicole on Camden County.
Public Offices Closed
Officials from the Camden County Board of Commissioners and the Cities of Kingsland, St. Marys, and Woodbine jointly agreed to close all local government offices Thursday, November 10, 2022, due to potential impacts from Tropical Storm Nicole. Offices are closed on Friday, November 11, 2022, for Veterans Day. The safety of our staff and customers are our first priority.

The National Weather Service Jacksonville has issued the following alerts for our area due to possible impacts from Tropical Storm Nicole:
- Tornado Watch (Until 7:00 p.m. on November 10, 2022)
- Storm Surge Warning (Coastal Camden County/East of I-95)
- Tropical Storm Warning
A Tornado Watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching. Acting early helps to save lives! The watch area is typically large, covering numerous counties or even states.

All Camden County residents should have multiple ways of receiving severe weather notifications, including CodeRED.
Curbside Collection for Unincorporated Camden County
Unincorporated Camden County Curbside Collection customers will not receive service on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Regular Thursday routes will be collected on Friday and regular Friday routes will be collected on Saturday.
Camden County Landfill
The Camden County Landfills are closed on Thursday, November 10, 2022. At this time they are anticipated to open at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022.
