At the June 20, 2023, regular meeting, the Camden County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the 2023-2027 Camden County Joint Comprehensive Plan. This plan, written by the Coastal Regional Commission (CRC), was recently accepted by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
“The Joint Comprehensive Plan is an important document for our community,” said Camden County Administrator Shawn M. Boatright. “This plan is a great tool to promote strong and healthy communities.”
The 2023-2027 Comprehensive Plan is a joint effort between Camden County and the Cities of Kingsland and St. Marys. The final step of the approval process is adoption by the local governments. The draft version of the plan is available on the CRC website. Once finalized, the plan will be available on the Camden County website.
“Our partnership with the CRC is a valuable resource for our community,” said Planning & Development Director Joey Yacobacci. “We are thankful for our strong working relationship with the Cities of Kingsland and St. Marys as we worked together on this joint plan.”
