The $34,000 grant will assist in updating the five-year Hazard Mitigation Plan.
“We are thrilled that FEMA and GEMA have provided this grant funding to Camden County,” said Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Chuck White. “The Hazard Mitigation Plan helps keep our community safe by reducing long-term risks to our citizens.”
This grant, combined with in-kind staff and planning time, will allow Camden County to update the existing Hazard Mitigation Plan. Activities for the new plan are expected to begin in 2020. The current Hazard Mitigation Plan is on the Camden County website and can be found by visiting www.camdencountyga.gov.
