As the still changing forecast for Hurricane Dorian continues to evolve, all Camden County residents should continue to monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian and take preparedness actions.
We are closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian in consultation with the National Weather Service Office in Jacksonville, Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) and Governor Brian Kemp’s Office for additional protective measures that may be necessary. Camden County Board of Commissioners, Emergency Management Agency (EMA), and Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and in partnership with the cities of Kingsland, St. Marys, and Woodbine, along with Camden County Schools, and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay are continuing to work together to coordinate incident response and public communications.
Local residents are also encouraged to visit the National Hurricane Center, www.nhc.noaa.gov, and the National Weather Service Office in Jacksonville, www.weather.gov/jax, as trusted sites for weather related information. Additionally, Camden County residents should continue to monitor Camden County Website, Camden County EMA Facebook, Camden County EMA Twitter and Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) website for updates.
