A curfew will be imposed beginning today, September 3, 2019, at 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. daily, until further notice, for all areas of Camden County east of I-95 for the areas that are under a mandatory evacuation due to Hurricane Dorian.
Increased law enforcement presence and enhanced enforcement will occur during the curfew. Individuals can expect to be checked if they are travelling in the mandatory evacuation area east of I-95. This curfew seeks to ensure the safety of the property of Camden County residents evacuating from Hurricane Dorian.
Local residents are also encouraged to visit the National Hurricane Center, www.nhc.noaa.gov, and the National Weather Service Office in Jacksonville, www.weather.gov/jax, as trusted sites for weather related information. Additionally, Camden County residents should continue to monitor Camden County Website, Camden County EMA Facebook, Camden County EMA Twitter and Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) website for updates.
