Camden County Receives Flood Mitigation Assistance

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of Flood Mitigation Assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).

The $95,714 grant will assist in the acquisition, demolition, and clearance of a repetitive loss property.

Camden County Receives Grant for Interns

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP) funds from the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).

The $3,346 grant will assist in funding two interns for summer 2019. One intern will work for the Camden County Board of Commissioners in the Administration Department and one will work in the Finance & Budget Department.

Disaster Recovery and Redevelopment Plan Approved

At their February 5, 2019, regular meeting, the Camden County Board of Commissioners approved the Disaster Recovery and Redevelopment Plan (DRRP).

Camden County Receives Grant to Replant Trees

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of an award from the Georgia Urban Forest Council’s Georgia ReLeaf Program.

The $2,315 grant will be used to purchase approximately eighty (80) trees to be planted in parks throughout the county.

Camden County Receives Grant for Warning Signs

The Camden County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that it is a recipient of Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).
