Is a SPLOST currently being collected in Camden County?

Yes. In 2013, the voters renewed the SPLOST estimated to bring in $65 million. The SPLOST was approved to be collected for 6 years (the maximum amount of time permitted by law) and will expire June 30th, 2019. Over $29M of the 2013 SPLOST was earmarked for transportation improvements and water & sewer system improvements. The balance of the funds was designated to economic development, general capital obligations, recreation, and public safety improvements.
