    Pits MUST be a minimum of 43,560 square feet (one acre).

21. PLEASE NOTE:  Camden County WILL NOT accept a pit smaller than 43,560 square feet or one acre (208.71 X 208.71). 

    Camden County WILL NOT accept pit proposals that affect wetland areas or historical sites. 

    Before a proposed pit is accepted, Camden County will test the soil to determine its acceptability for use in county road projects. If the soil is deemed acceptable, the county will then determine the need and location of the proposed pit prior to accepting the same. 

    Filing of this application DOES NOT constitute guaranteed acceptance of the proposed pit by Camden County.
